Casa Pietra is a farm that uses solar energy and favors local distribution at KM0; it boasts 40 years of beekeeping activity, with careful selection of honeycombs in processing, slow maturation, manual bottling and refining at a controlled temperature. Wild cherry honey is an “early” honey: it is produced at the beginning of spring, a period rich in cherry trees, which appear to us in all their beauty with the first numerous white flowers of these spontaneous plants; for a good harvest it is important that the bee families are sufficiently developed in the period of this flowering. It tends to have a rather liquid consistency and a straw yellow color, but can vary from a light amber color to a darker shade with reddish reflections. Crystallization occurs slowly, changing its color until it reaches a white-greyish shade. It gives rise to a pasty mass, with fine crystals. The honey has an extremely pleasant flavor that recalls the taste of cherry, with aftertastes that recall the flavor of bitter almonds. Cherry honey has excellent properties for our body. It is in fact an excellent detoxifier and has diuretic properties, in addition to being an immediate source of energy, useful for supporting the energy needs of our body. Furthermore, it is rich in vitamins and minerals and is an excellent tonic.

Thanks to its organoleptic characteristics – low stickiness, perfect cooking resistance, rare grain compactness and high percentage of starch – recognized even by the most important chefs, Carnaroli Superfino Riserva San Massimo rice is ideal for preparing risottos.
During cooking, it delicately absorbs the flavours of the various ingredients, releasing its precious starch, and then presents itself on the table with compact and homogeneous grains, which even tend, as they cool, to return to being “al dente”.
When the fire is turned off, the rice stops cooking and the grains, due to their structure, do not run the risk of falling apart. The quality of this excellent product is perceived at the first taste, revealing the scents of the natural reserve.
