Amarescata is an extra jam of Marasca cherries: in the recipe for Amarescata jam the percentage of fruit used is extremely high: 170 g of fruit for every 100 g of final jam. The percentage of added sugar is very low (< 30%). No thickeners of any kind, nor colorants or preservatives are used. Prepared according to an ancient recipe of the century-old tradition, Amarescata Luxardo is ideal for tarts and baked desserts.
