Fiocco, otherwise known as Fiocchetto, is the typical cured meet product from Bassa Parmense (lit. Po river area in the outskirts of Parma). The cut comes from the lower part of the pork haunch. Smaller and leaner than Culatello, it is the perfect choice for those who wish a mild and light starter.
Ingredients: Pork, salt, dextrose, flavorings, spices. Preservatives: E250 E252
Weight: Approximately 1.6 kg.
Expiration: Shelf life cannot be determined - pre-cut and sliced flake should be consumed within a few days.
Storage: Storage at a moderate temperature (15°-18°C) is recommended.
Directions for use: After removing the outer layer (rind and suet), the product can be sliced and consumed as is.
