Next edition of Parma Ham Festival will be opened by the sweetness of the well-known Pastry Chef Ernst Knam, who will inaugurate the historical event on the evening of Friday, the 1th of September. Also this year the TV presenter Francesca Romana Barberini will host Parma Ham Festival.
The inauguration will be a special moment because it will focus on Parma Ham, terrirtory and products of gastronomic excellence which are increasingly becoming ambassadors of quality and tradition in Italy and abroad.
Reached its XX edition, Parma Ham Festival will involve the city of Parma from the 2nd to the 10th of September, and the town of Langhirano from the 1st to the 3rd.
The festival will be prolonged during the next weekend, 16-17 Semptember with Opened Windows, initiative which has always been very successful and it attracks lovers of Parma ham who can see the cycle processing and take part in free tasting into the prosciuttifici.
As usual, the protagonist are the producers of Parma ham. The "Cittadella of Parma Ham" shall be set up in the town of Langhirano. An area where the producers will offer guided tastings into their stands, food combinations and laboratories of flavour. Hams from all over the world with an interersting offer will not miss, so an occasion of encounter between Parma ham and other quality cured hams from Italy and the world.
In Parma, however, returns the Bistro of Parma Ham. Here every day it's possible to taste the Parma ham by enjoying the beautiful historical centre and by partecipating in cultural and entertainment scheduled events.
And not only. To valorize the identity of the product and of its territory, the Festival will be enhanced with new content thanks to the collaboration of the famous video makers Casa Surace, started some time ago with the Parma ham communicating campaign, entitled " You are from Parma too...".
Through some videos, Casa Surace will start up a competition which will allow the winners to live an unique experience to the discovery of the territory, but especially of Parma ham origin by visiting one of the prosciuttifici that belongs to Opened Windows. This initiative will have significant reflection on social network and on the same website.
Good music could not miss during the Fetsival! On Saturday, the 3rd of September there will be Francesco Gabbani in concert in Celso Melli Plaza. Definitely a full program that of Parma Ham Festival soon available on the website.
