PGI Fortana del Taro is a red wine obtained from robust, large round grapes harvested from the autochthonous vines of the lower Parma area. It is crimson red in color, with a fruity aroma. It is sweet, fresh, sparkling and harmonious on the palate.
A few minutes away from Busseto, in the lands where Giuseppe Verdi was born, the Bergamaschi wine company has been producing wines since 1909. The Fortana grape variety is this company' pride and joy, strong and vigorous, tempered by the clay soil and humid climate, with its hot summers and cold winters, of the low grounds in the vicinity of the Po river.
